You are probably thinking what do slippers even have to do with Turkey? Turkish people are very hospitable and love to have you over to their house. Instead of offering food or drink though, you are normally offered a fresh pair of slippers! This accomplishes two things. First, it keeps your dirty shoes outside and second, it makes you feel very welcome and makes the host feel very hospitable. Our prayer and desire is to be able to show Turkish hospitality and give slippers to everyone who comes through our house as we show them the truth of the gospel.
