Paul’s Thoughts on the Great Commission: Separated to the Gospel: Romans 1:1

Separated to the Gospel: Romans 1:1

Romans 1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God

Here, Paul starts off the book of Romans with his heartbeat. His life, his desire was the gospel. His life was separated to the getting the gospel to the whole world. Why would Paul live his life separated unto the gospel? Because Paul took the Great Commission personally. As he heard the call to get the gospel to the whole world, he took it as his job! He lived his life in a way that as he went about his day to day tasks and lived his life, it was all about getting the gospel to a lost and dying world! The Great Commission is still binding upon us today! Billions of souls sit in darkness heading straight towards hell! What can be done? What can change that? Christians having the mindset of being separated unto the gospel! Christians realizing that we must live unto the gospel and do all we can to get the gospel all around the world! If Paul had a tombstone the epitaph would read Paul: Separated unto the gospel and that truly is how he lived. You see he lived his life in a way that no matter where he was, how hard his life was, he was all about furthering the gospel! Paul believed and took the Great Commission personally. It’s time for us as Christians to do the same today! Take the Great Commission personally, live your life separated to the gospel and do all you can to get the gospel to the whole world! Will you live your life separated unto the gospel?
