Paul’s Thoughts on the Great Commission: All Men Have Not Faith!— II Thessalonians 3:1-2

All Men Have Not Faith!— II Thessalonians 3:1-2

II Thessalonians 3:1-2 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.

Paul was asking the Thessalonians to pray for them. The purpose of the prayer was that God’s words would have free course. That they would go forth into the world and not be hindered. He also asked to be delivered from wicked men, but then made a statement and this is the crux of why he was asking them to pray: all men have not faith! Paul realized that there were people all over the world without the Gospel. He realized that the Word of God and the Gospel is the only thing that could change that, but it was being hindered by many. Only God could overcome and give it free reign to get to the whole world. Paul hated the fact that all men were not saved. He knew he had to do something about it and wanted the Gospel to get to all people! He was willing to take risk and be in danger to get the Gospel to those who had never heard. He did not put his safety first. He put the need of the Gospel for others first! Two thousand years later and we are still in the same state. The world is full of people who have not faith. They do not have the Gospel and are lost heading straight towards hell! There is only one way to change this! We must first pray that the Word of God would have free course in the world. We must pray that God will open doors in every country of the world! But it doesn’t stop at just praying; it then takes action! As we pray, we must then, also go with the Gospel! People are without Christ and have never heard of Him all around the world and we have a job to do as Christians! We must get the Gospel to the world! Will you first pray that the Gospel will have free course in the world! That it would not be hindered by wicked men and that these wicked men would be reached? But as you pray, will you go? Go to those near you, but also step out in faith and go to another country, to another place without the Gospel! The need is great, the laborers few, and the time is short! Now is the time to take our faith and our Gospel to the world!
