From Misbehaving to Missionary

From misbehaving to missionary: Part 1

People ask and wonder how a guy like me came to be a missionary. They wonder what steps I took and how it all worked out. The reality is, as I look back on my life; the only way I really became a missionary is because God was guiding and directing my steps! I want to tell you my story,  not so you get to know me, but so that you can see how God overcame obstacles in my life and has used and called me to be a missionary. The truth is, if God can use someone like me and call someone like me into ministry, then He can use anyone! I am not perfect, actually far from it. Getting up in front of people and speaking to them does not come naturally to me. I do not like to be in front of people, I am the guy that would rather be in the back of the room or off by myself! Putting together cohesive thoughts and preaching and testifying are not easy for me. I have been told I have ADHD and it is hard for me to keep my mind from wandering, let alone have my brain and mouth keep up with each other! I was a teenager on the verge of being kicked out of a Christian school and yet God worked in my life. He helped me to grow and has overcome my difficulties and called me to be a missionary! Over the next few articles, I would like to tell you my story. It is not a story about how great I am. No, it is a story about how great God is! As you see all that God has done in my life, I want it to challenge you and make you realize that no matter what your trials or difficulties, God can overcome and use you! The question is, do you want God to use you? Can God overcome your difficulties? What difficulties are in your life that you think are keeping you from being used of God?
