One of the crazy ones because we have been reconciled!

II Corinthians 5:18-19 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Why should we be one of the crazy ones? These two verses give us two reasons. The first one is that Christ has reconciled us back with God. Reconciled basically means to restore relationship with. You see before Christ we were at enmity against God. We were literally at war and against Him. But because Christ came and died on the cross for our sins, when we accept Him, we are then reconciled with God. That means our relationship is restored with Him. We have access to come to His throne and ask Him for things we have need of. We have our relationship restored and we are now not only friends of God, but also His sons and daughters! The fact that Christ has reconciled us to God should motivate us enough to be one of the crazy ones but because of that, Christ left us a job to do. He left us the ministry of reconciliation. You see the rest of the world who is without Christ is still at war with God. But Christ has given us the job of taking them the message of salvation! We must tell them of the love of Christ! We must point them to the one true God! We have a job to do and that should consume every Christian! Sadly though, we aren’t one of the crazy ones because we do not realize all that Christ did for us! But we are reconciled. We are no longer enemies of God. We are no longer on are way to hell! God no longer sees that we are sinners, He sees that we are new creatures,  that we are saints! That means we should be willing to live our lives for Him! Will you be one of the crazy ones and get involved in the ministry of reconciliation? Will you live your life with the purpose of sharing Christ and His love to a lost and dying world? Christ reconciled us to God, so we should be willing to be called crazy helping to reconcile the world to God by the message of Christ!
