A Highly Effective Christian is a Wise Steward!

As Christians, we are stewards of what God has given to us. If you want to be a highly effective Christian you must be a wise steward! This week, we will look at what areas as Christians in which we should be wise stewards.

1. Minutes— Ephesians 5:16  Redeeming the time because the days are evil.
   What are you doing with the time that God has given you?  We should be wise stewards of the time given to us! Yes, time is very important and seems to go by so quickly, but if you look back in a week, how much time are you spending in the Word of God? How much time have you spent sharing the gospel with others? How much time have you spent ministering to or discipling others? There are many things we have to get done each and every day, but as  Christians, we should be wise stewards with our time and realize our time is running short to get the gospel to a lost and dying world!

2. Money— Luke 16:10-11   He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
   What are you doing with the money that has been given to you? You may be wealthy or you may be poor, but whatever you have, God has entrusted it to you.  Are you being faithful with what God has given you? Remember the earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it. God has given you everything you have. From your money to your possessions— they have been given to you by God and He desires us to be wise stewards of them! A wise steward doesn’t just hoard the money, rather they give towards heavenly enterprises! As wise stewards of our money, we should realize that the best use of our money is by giving it to God and getting the gospel to a lost and dying world! This does not mean you have to give everything away, but you should be wise with what ways you use your money!

3. Ministry— I Cor. 4:1-2 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover, it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful
   We have been entrusted with the ministry of the gospel. Are you being a wise steward of the ministry that God has given you? Whether that is a large ministry in a church or a ministry of getting the gospel to a lost and dying world, we must be wise stewards of it! We should be found faithful, serving God and trying to get the gospel to the whole world! Are you found faithful in the ministry of the gospel and mysteries of God or do you waste the opportunities that come your way?

A highly effective Christian is a wise steward! Are you being a wise steward of your minutes, money and ministry? Or are you wasting what God has given you? We only have a short amount of minutes, money and ministry given to us. Are you being a wise and faithful steward or are you being a foolish and wasteful steward?
